Centre wants to provide low-cost education: Irani

Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Smriti Irani said on Sunday in Amritsar that the central government is strongly committed to offer a bigger access to low-cost education to maximum number of students.  Irani said in a conversation with press meeting that the central government is working on all steps to provide quality education to students at low cost. Irani visited this city to address the closing session of the 60th nationwide meeting of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).

She stated that graduate, post-graduate and other courses in central universities, IIMs and IITs will be offered online so that students can get higher education in less charges or cost.
